Job summary

Triton AI Pte Ltd is hiring a Vessel IT Engineer to support the IT infrastructure of vessels worldwide from Singapore. You will provide remote L2/L3 technical support to ship crews, diagnose complex hardware, software, and network issues, and manage onboard IT systems to ensure reliable connectivity and system availability.

The role requires hands‑on experience with Windows Server environments, Active Directory, Hyper‑V, and maritime IT operations.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of IT infrastructure or technical support experience within maritime industry.
• Vessel IT or maritime technology support experience is highly regarded.
• Hands‑on onsite infrastructure support experience preferred over cloud‑only support.
• Strong troubleshooting across servers, networks, hardware, connectivity and end‑user systems.
• Willingness to work 24/7 on‑call and travel to vessels if required.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote L2 and L3 technical support to vessels, captains and ship crew.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, network and communication‑system issues remotely.
• Manage, support, maintain and upgrade onboard IT infrastructure across the vessel fleet.
• Support vessel networks, servers, workstations, Wi‑Fi, firewalls, switches, UPS, storage and backup systems.
• Install, configure and optimize Microsoft environments (Windows Server, Windows 10, Microsoft 365, AD, Hyper‑V).
• Monitor system performance, connectivity and reliability across onboard environments.
• Maintain cybersecurity controls, antivirus, backups and disaster recovery solutions.
• Liaise with captains, ship crew, vendors and IT teams for issue resolution.
• Participation in improvements to vessel IT infrastructure and processes.
• Provide after‑hours and weekend support as part of on‑call rotation.
