Job summary

Innergy Consulting Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Vessel IT Engineer to manage and upgrade on-board IT infrastructure across vessels.

You will provide remote IT support and on-board assistance as required, with opportunities to develop IT, telecoms, and cybersecurity skills in a multicultural environment. Responsibilities include deploying and maintaining IT networks, servers, and user devices, monitoring systems, and performing patching and upgrades.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
3–5 years of relevant IT experience.
Good knowledge of Microsoft technologies, antivirus, switches, UPS, firewalls, storage/backup and replication.
Experience with cybersecurity solutions is preferred.
Knowledge of hardware troubleshooting, data cabling and WiFi networks.
Exposure to ship automation systems is a plus.
Independent, able to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Deliver remote IT support to vessels and crew, with onboard assistance as needed.
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize IT infrastructure (networks, satellite, radio, servers, workstations).
Contribute to design, deployment and enhancement of vessel IT systems.
Monitor IT systems for performance, availability and reliability.
Perform remote and onboard system upgrades and patching.
Coordinate with vendors and IT stakeholders to resolve issues.
Maintain IT security controls, system integrity, backups and recovery.
Manage Level 1 helpdesk escalations and provide timely resolutions.
Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours/weekend support.
Travel onboard vessels to perform IT audits and provide ad hoc support.
