Job summary

Marina Bay Sands is hiring a Valet driver to manage arrivals and departures across the Hotel Valet, Casino Valet, Carpark Valet, MICE and Hall Parking. You will assist with curb side duties, door opening, and luggage handling, delivering Forbes-standard service consistently.

Under Valet Captains and Managers, you will ensure timely completion of tasks, collaborate with a team of drivers, traffic marshals and bellmen to guarantee a seamless guest experience on a fast-paced property in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License and at least 2 years of driving experience.
• Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, positive attitude and ability to work in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Handle valet vehicles within Marina Bay Sands premises according to standards.
• Operate the Valet Management System per guidelines.
• Assist with traffic management and ensure guest and vehicle safety.
• Deliver service levels per departmental audit standards and KPIs.
• Direct vehicles to lanes and designated areas, manage queues when needed.
• Assist with Hall Parking during self-park overflow.
• Provide information on valet/self-park and guest queries.
• Support team and perform other duties as required by Valet Captains.

Summary of Job Responsibilities

As a Valet driver, you will be responsible for handling all arrivals, and departing vehicles at the Hotel Valet, Casino Valet, Carpark Valet, MICE, and Hall Parking. Additionally, you are required to perform static duties at the curb to direct traffic, assist in opening vehicle doors and not limited to assist on luggage for arrival at the Hotel driveway. You are expected to deliver the required service standard based on Forbes service standards consistently. You must perform and support the Valet operations, and under the supervision of Valet Captains, and Managers to ensure that all the tasks are being completed on time and based on the standards set by the department. You should also work in close collaboration with other Valet drivers, traffic marshals and the bellman who are on duty at the driveway to ensure seamless arrival and departure for all guests.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle valet vehicles within the property of Marina Bay Sands in line with the departmental standards
• Operate the Valet Management System according to departmental guidelines.
• Assist in managing the traffic around the property of Marina Bay Sands as well as ensuring and maintaining safety of guests and vehicles.
• Provide level of service and experience according to the departmental audit standards and work as a team to achieve the departmental KPIs.
• Direct incoming vehicles to the designated lanes and into specific areas of self-park whenever required.
• Restrict incoming vehicles and manage taxi queue when required to ease congestion within the property.
• Manage Hall Parking in the event of self-park overflow.
• Provide information on valet and self-park related as well as all other guests’ queries.
• Understand and execute departmental game plans.
• Maintain operational equipment in working order and ensure supplies are sufficient to perform duties.
• Monitor and report any anomalies to Valet Captains for immediate action.
• Learn and support the team with any other operational and/or departmental duties when required.
• Assist with any other assignments tasked by Valet Captains

Job Requirements

Education & Certification

No formal education required

Experience

• Must possess a valid Singapore Class 3 Driving License with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
• Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage.

Other Prerequisites

• Good interpersonal and English communication skills, proactive and positive attitude
• Able to work within a culturally diverse team.
• Able to deploy in environment as required to perform job responsibility
• Able to perform manual handling duties, including lifting and moving guests' luggage.
• Able to perform shift duties including night shift, and work on weekends and Public Holidays
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working outdoors and standing for extended periods as required by operational needs
• Able to safely operate vehicles and identify traffic signs, signals, and parking indicators required for the role.
• Possess basic knowledge of Singapore attractions and places of interest.
