Star Alliance is the world’s largest airline alliance.
Established in 1997 as the first truly global airline alliance, Star Alliance was founded on a customer value proposition of global reach, worldwide recognition, and seamless service. Today, guided by a vision for a world effortlessly connected, Star Alliance enriches customer journeys and reinforces loyalty by creating tailored solutions that empower member airlines beyond their individual capabilities. The Star Alliance office in Singapore coordinates the global activities of the Alliance, including managing joint projects on behalf of its 26 Members.
Based in the head office in Singapore, the People & Culture Trainee is an entry-level position and the starting point of an 18-month Star Alliance Development Programme. The role provides broad, hands-on exposure across the employee lifecycle, including the internship programme, payroll, employee support, work pass and immigration management, employee engagement, regulatory requirements and HRIS management.
The trainee will progressively take ownership of key People & Culture processes while developing the professional judgement, technical knowledge and stakeholder-management skills needed for a career in HR. The role requires someone who is organised, detail-oriented and comfortable working with employees, managers, government authorities and external partners. As the trainee grows into the role, there may also be opportunities to gain exposure to other areas in Star Alliance and pursue potential career opportunities upon completion of the programme, subject to performance, organisational needs and role availability.
