Job summary

Biro Oktroi Roosseno (BOR) is seeking a motivated Trademark Executive to support the Singapore IP team. You will assist in prosecution and portfolio administration for international clients, focusing on Mandarin-speaking clients and collaborators in Greater China.

Initially hands-on with trademark work, the role offers progression toward client relationship and business development responsibilities, with mentoring from senior management and a clear pathway to an IP Manager role for strong

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Law, Intellectual Property, Business or a related discipline.
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin (spoken and written).
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Genuine interest in building a long-term career in intellectual property.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, file and monitor trademark applications, renewals, assignments and related matters in Singapore and overseas.
• Conduct trademark searches and prepare search reports and filing recommendations.
• Monitor docket examination reports, office actions, publication, opposition and renewals; ensure no deadlines are missed.
• Draft routine responses, reporting letters, quotations and filing instructions for clients and overseas associates.
• Liaise with clients, overseas associates and IP offices on progress of matters; maintain records in the firm’s IP system.
