Job summary

The Ministry of Defence of Singapore seeks a senior THS coordinator to oversee training, health and safety across RSN base development projects, ensuring safe, healthy living environments for RSN personnel throughout the build.

You will liaise with stakeholders, apply THS standards to design spaces, monitor compliance with safety regulations, and drive continuous improvement of welfare provisions within the base design.

Qualifications

• Education in Project Management, Workplace Safety and Health, Training, Health and Safety domains, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of experience with at least 3 years in project management in THS domains.
• Strong communication and critical thinking; ability to engage diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee THS matters across base development projects.
• Serve as the unit's point of contact to liaise with stakeholders.
• Ensure physical environments comply with Naval Safety Inspectorate standards and workplace safety regulations at every phase of base development.
• Monitor workplace conditions to address issues and gaps in quality-of-life and wellbeing for RSN personnel due to base projects.
• Incorporate welfare inputs into the design of working spaces within the base.
• Recommend THS design and policy improvements to minimise impact on base residents.
• Provide support across other sites within the unit's remit when needed.
• Act as resident subject matter expert for THS domains and oversee related processes and procedures.
