About the role
This role involves devising test strategies and generating Master/Acceptance Test Plans and Acceptance Test Procedures. You will lead software testers to execute test strategies, write and oversee tests on software usability, functionality, performance, load testing and system reliability, and analyse test results to identify impacts, errors, bugs, and reliability issues.
Key responsibilities
- Devise test strategies and generate Master/Acceptance Test Plan (ATP) and Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPr)
- Lead software testers to execute test strategies and ATP/ATPr
- Write, execute, and oversee tests on software usability, functionality, performance, load testing and system reliability
- Analyse test results to identify impacts, errors, bugs, and reliability issues
- Log testing results and collaborate with developers to analyse errors/bugs, performance issues, and other unintended behaviour
- Interact with clients to understand requirements, feedback, and issues, and ensure they are addressed effectively
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior testers, fostering a collaborative and efficient testing environment
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test cases, test scripts (ATPr), and test reports (ATR)
- Implement and manage automated testing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Participate in project planning and requirement analysis to ensure comprehensive test coverage
About you
- 5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- Proficiency in VMs with both Windows and Linux
- Strong understanding of software test design principles and testing methodologies
- Extensive experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
- Ability to think creatively and analytically to develop comprehensive test strategies and scenarios
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with SQL and database testing concepts preferred
- Proven track record of leading successful testing efforts for complex software projects
- Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve high performance and quality standards
