Job summary

GienTech Singapore Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a software tester to join our QA team. You will participate in planning and creating test cases and execute manual testing including UAT, regression, and integration tests according to the test plan.

• Diploma or higher in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years software testing experience.
• Familiar with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• Good spoken and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and create test cases aligned with requirements.
• Execute manual testing (UAT, regression, integration) per test plan.
• Document, track results, and report defects in JIRA.
• Suggest improvements to test plans and strategies.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly activity reports with stakeholders.
• Manage stakeholders and maintain documentation security (PDPA).

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Take part in the planning and creation of test cases, adhering to the processes and objectives of the given requirements.
• Execute various form of manual testing such as User Acceptance Test / Regression Test / Integration Test / etc based on the formulated test plan.
• Documenting and tracking of test results, reporting, and submitting defects using JIRA to the test lead.
• Highlight and suggest methods/ideas to improve test plans and execution strategies.
• Work closely with all stakeholders to generate daily/weekly/monthly activity reports.
• Perform professional stakeholder management and proper documentation security control on a daily basis.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have acquired at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
• At least 1- 3 years of software testing experience, fresh graduates are welcome to apply as well.
• Has good understanding of Agile & Waterfall methodology.
• Able to work independently and with people of all levels.
• Able to work in fast pace and challenging environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in banking industry and Jira is a plus.
