Job summary

chiu teng construction co. pte. ltd. in Singapore is seeking a experienced Quantity Surveyor specialized in tendering for building projects. You will manage tender submissions, review drawings, BOQs, and contract conditions, and prepare cost estimates.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years' experience with main contractors, strong knowledge of HDB contracts, and proven ability to deliver complete tenders on time.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of HDB contract conditions, construction law, and procurement processes.
• Tendering/pre‑contract works experience in a building main contractor.
• Hands‑on tender pricing, cost estimation and subcontractor quotations.
• Experience with an A1 building main contractor preferred.
• Knowledge of construction contracts, commercial risks and tendering practices.
• Ability to independently handle tender submissions and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prepare tender submissions for building construction projects.
• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQ, contract conditions and tender requirements.
• Carry out cost estimation, quantity take-off and tender pricing.
• Source, evaluate and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Coordinate preparation of method statements, construction programmes and technical submissions.
• Ensure tender submissions are complete, compliant and submitted within deadlines.
• Identify and assess commercial, contractual and tender risks.
• Attend tender interviews, presentations and clarification meetings as required.
• Conduct post-tender reviews and assist handover of successful tenders to Project and Contracts teams.
• Review post-award documents including LOA, Contract Agreement, BOQ, drawings and contract conditions.
• Identify discrepancies or changes from tender submissions and follow up with consultants before contract execution.
• Ensure proper handover of tender costing, quotations and contractual documentation upon project award.

• Strong experience in tendering / pre-contract works within a building main contractor
• Hands-on experience in tender pricing, cost estimation, subcontractor quotations and contract review
• Experience with an A1 building main contractor is highly preferred
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, commercial risks and tendering practices
• Able to independently handle tender submissions and work within tight deadlines
