Job summary

Singtel is seeking an Engineering Officer (Technician) to work with the Integrated Network Operation Centre in Singapore. You will coordinate fault clearance and service restoration, perform site surveys, installation, testing and preventive maintenance of access and transmission equipment to meet customer and operational requirements.

The role requires being on standby, handling irregular hours including nights and holidays, and collaborating with planners and contractors to ensure timely

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification: O Level /A Level or ITE in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in telecommunications engineering or transmission systems is preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot and isolate faults across access and transmission equipment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with INOC on fault clearance and service restoration to meet SLA.
• Troubleshoot faults on access and transmission equipment; escalate to Tier 2 when needed.
• Plan and execute site surveys, installation, testing, and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Monitor health and performance of equipment; take remedial actions as required.
• Provide support for routing/diversion during cable incidents; standby duties and recall on short notice.
• Coordinate with planners and contractors for recovery and shutdown activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
