Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. invites applications for an electro-mechanical assembler role.

You will build, repair and test electrical and pneumatic assemblies using schematics and work orders, and you will troubleshoot to ensure functional subassemblies. The ideal candidate holds Nitec/Higher Nitec or a Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with related internship or experience. Shift work is available with allowances per shift, and a shuttle bus is provided to support on-site

Qualifications

• Academic or technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Relevant internship or academic background is considered.
• Nitec/Higher Nitec/Diploma in engineering required or advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies using orders and diagrams.
• Perform troubleshooting and repair on assemblies.
• Identify and correct errors.
• Observe safety standards and maintain a clean work environment.
• Enter progress and labor details into computer systems.
• Inspect parts for defects and improve processes.

About the role

Utilizes routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components. Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists

• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair

• Identify and correct errors

• Observe all safety standards and maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment

• Attend required health and safety training and follow safety and security policies, procedures and practices

• Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept

• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components

• Enter data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details

• Perform computer programming, repair or software installs

• Detail finished work, receive parts and perform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available

• Inspect parts for defects and troubleshoot and improve processes

About you

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

• Relevant experience would be advantageous

• Relevant internship / academic background would be considered

Work Arrangements (shuttle bus available)

• AM Shift (7AM to 4,30PM)

• PM Shift (4PM to 1.30AM) - $25/shift allowance

• Graveyard Shift (11.30PM to 9AM) - $40/shift allowance

• Mon - Fri / Tues - Sat / Sun - Thurs (shift patterns available)
