Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an electro-mechanical assembly technician to build, repair and test assemblies and subassemblies. You will follow schematics, wiring diagrams and work orders to ensure quality and safety in every task.

The role involves troubleshooting, data entry, and continuous improvement of processes, with performance-based shift allowances. Applicants with relevant engineering education or internships are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant internship or academic background would be considered.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical assemblies and components.
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair.
• Identify and correct errors.
• Observe safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Utilize test fixtures and measurement equipment to test assemblies.
• Enter data on computer terminal for progress and labor details.
• Detail finished work and perform audits to ensure parts availability.

About the role

Utilizes routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components. Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair
• Identify and correct errors
• Observe all safety standards and maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment
• Attend required health and safety training and follow safety and security policies, procedures and practices
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components
• Enter data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details
• Perform computer programming, repair or software installs
• Detail finished work, receive parts and perform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available
• Inspect parts for defects and troubleshoot and improve processes

About you

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Relevant experience would be advantageous
• Relevant internship / academic background would be considered

Work Arrangements

• AM Shift (7am to 4.30pm)
• PM Shift (4pm to 1.30am) - $25/shift allowance
• Graveyard Shift (11.30PM to 9AM) - $40/shift allowance
• 12 hour Day Shift (7am - 7pm)
• 12 hour Night Shift (7pm - 7am)
• Different work days
