Job summary

PERSOL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced assembler to build, repair and test electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies. You will follow schematics, wiring diagrams, and parts lists to assemble components and perform routine audits. Training will cover safety protocols and quality standards.

The role requires a background in mechanical or electrical engineering and may consider relevant internships or academic projects. Shift work is involved with day and night allowances.

Qualifications

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Relevant internship / academic background would be considered.
• Relevant work experience would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Build, repair and test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies and components using schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Perform troubleshooting and repairs on assemblies and subassemblies.
• Identify and correct errors to ensure quality and safety.
• Observe safety standards and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Enter progress and labour data into the computer system.

About the role

Utilizes routine work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists, written and/or verbal instructions to build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components. Performs electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Build, repair and/or test electrical, electro-mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies and components using work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, parts and wire lists
• Perform electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting and repair
• Identify and correct errors
• Observe all safety standards and maintain a secure, safe, clean and healthy work environment
• Attend required health and safety training and follow safety and security policies, procedures and practices
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, safety hazards, or emergencies to supervisor or Safety dept
• Utilize test fixtures, electronic measurement equipment, leak detectors, and/or vacuum pumps to test assemblies, subassemblies and components
• Enter data on computer terminal, such as progress, work expense and labor details
• Perform computer programming, repair or software installs
• Detail finished work, receive parts and perform audits to ensure all necessary parts are available
• Inspect parts for defects and troubleshoot and improve processes

About you

• Nitec / Higher Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Relevant experience would be advantageous
• Relevant internship / academic background would be considered

Work Arrangements

• 12 hour shifts (7am - 7pm or 7pm - 7am)
• Fixed shift (all day / all night)
• Day shift allowance ($20) / Night shift allowance ($45)
