Job summary

Sol Luminaire, an architectural lighting studio in Singapore, is expanding and seeking a Technician to support our growing operations. You will perform on-site servicing, replace faulty components, and troubleshoot lighting systems for residential and gallery installations.

The role requires travelling across Singapore, coordinating with contractors, maintaining safety standards, and occasional overtime. A Class 3 driving licence is preferred, and basic knowledge of lighting or smart home

Qualifications

• Valid Singapore Class 3 (manual) driving licence.
• Willing to travel to multiple locations across Singapore.
• Basic knowledge of lighting, electrical works, or smart home systems.
• Willing to work a 5.5-day work week.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site servicing for existing Sol Luminaire customers.
• Replace faulty components (transformers, LED sources, strips, or lamps).
• Troubleshoot lighting compatibility with switches or smart home systems.
• Coordinate with smart home vendors or the in-house smart home team.
• Maintain lighting systems during warranty and post-warranty.
• Service daily at multiple residential locations (up to 10/day).
• Maintain retail galleries.
• Provide ad-hoc on-site support and delivery of lighting products.
• Overtime may be required for loading/unloading during import/export.
• Ensure servicing follows safety procedures and electrical standards.

Sol Luminaire, an architectural lighting studio founded in Singapore, is expanding.
We are looking for a Technician to support our operations as we grow.

Responsibilities:

• Perform on-site servicing for existing Sol Luminaire customers

• Replacement of faulty components for existing Sol Luminaire customers (e.g., transformers, LED light sources, LED strips, or entire lamps)

• Troubleshooting lighting compatibility issues with switches or smart home control systems

• Working with smart home vendors or the in-house smart home team

• Perform maintenance and servicing of lighting systems both within the warranty period and for post-warranty support

• Perform daily servicing duties at different residential locations, typically up to 10 locations per day depending on operational requirements

• Maintenance of our retail galleries

• Provide ad-hoc on-site support and delivery of lighting products or related items when required

• Overtime may be required for loading and unloading goods during import or export operations, in accordance with company operational needs

• Ensure all servicing and maintenance work is performed in accordance with company safety procedures and electrical safety standards

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a valid Singapore Class 3 (manual) driving licence (company vehicle provided for work purposes)

• Able to travel to multiple locations across Singapore to perform on-site servicing

• Able to coordinate effectively with contractors and electricians during servicing work

• Demonstrates initiative and responsibility in carrying out assigned duties

• Basic knowledge of lighting, electrical works, or smart home systems is an advantage

• Salary will be commensurate with relevant work experience

• Willing to work a 5.5-day work week
