Job summary

Cloudflare is hiring a Technical Support Engineer to join our Application Services/Performance team in Singapore. You will work with some of our largest and most technically sophisticated customers to deploy and operate Cloudflare’s App Services with confidence.

You’ll diagnose complex issues, collaborate with Engineering, and contribute to knowledge bases while using Bash, Python, and JavaScript to automate tasks and improve tooling.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a Technical Support Engineer for globally distributed reverse-proxy CDN platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and ability to simplify complex concepts for customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with customer-focused orientation.
• Ability to work independently and in fast-paced, global environments.
• Solid understanding of L4/L7 protocols (TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP/S, IAM, Load Balancing, Caching, CORS, SSL/TLS, Network).
• Experience using diagnostic/monitoring platforms and observability tools (Kibana, Grafana, Zabbix, Sentry) to analyze logs and root causes.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for Enterprise customers on Application Services/Performance. diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues (DNS, HTTP Errors, IAM, Load Balancing, Caching, CORS, SSL/TLS).
• Collaborate with Engineering/Operations to remediate issues and apply mitigations.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides for internal and customer use.
• Proficient with command line tools (dig/traceroute/curl/tcpdump) and scripting (Bash, Python, JavaScript).
• Work with Engineering and Product teams to improve Cloudflare’s products and tools.
