Job summary

HOYA Electronics Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Technical Specialist to join our Development team at our mask blank factory. You will contribute to the development of polishing and cleaning processes and support new product development.

Responsibilities include monitoring equipment parameters, inventory reporting, preventive maintenance, rapid recovery from breakdowns, film thickness measurements, and assisting engineers in new setup and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• NITEC or Diploma in Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data reporting.
• Strong communication skills, with a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willing to work in 12-hour rotating day/night shift (4-3-3-4 shift pattern).
• Able to work in cleanroom environment and perform overtime as and when required.

• Perform replacement of chemical carboys and gas cylinders, and maintain accurate reporting of chemical, gas, and spare‑part inventory levels.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance task.
• Perform quick recovery on equipment breakdown.
• Perform measurement for film thickness, reflectivity, contact angles etc.
• Assist engineers in new equipment setup/modification, experiment/evaluation and continuous improvement projects.
• Troubleshoot process or equipment issues to find and eliminate the root cause.
• Provide coaching, training, and guidance for all technicians.
