Job summary

Hirata FA Engineering (S) PTE LTD in Singapore seeks a capable Sales & Marketing professional to drive automation product enquiries, coordinate with the design and marketing teams, and manage project cycles from inception to completion.

You will liaise with Japanese-speaking customers and our Japan HQ, review technical specifications in Japanese and English, and provide translation support as needed. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in sales & marketing for automation products.
• Experience in mechanical design and/or AutoCAD is a plus.
• Familiar with project management in industrial automation/robotic systems.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• Japanese & English proficiency to communicate with customers and HQ.
• JLPT N2 or higher preferred.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with ad hoc Japanese communication and other business arrangements such as car rentals where applicable.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attend to customer enquiry on Industrial Automation products

• Work with design team on conceptual design

• Prepare periodical sales report

• Project management for the entire project cycle

• Work with marketing team to explore new business opportunities

• Liaise with Japanese-speaking customers and Japan headquarters staff on project matters, technical discussions, and sales enquiries.

Job Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent

• Relevant experience in Sales & Marketing for automation products

• Experienced in Mechanical design and/or AutoCad added advantage

• Exposed to Project Management, preferably in industrial Automation and Robotic Systems

• Occasional traveling may be required

• Proficiency in Japanese and English (speaking, reading and writing) to communicate with Japanese customers and Japan HQ staff when needed.

• JLPT N2 or above is preferred

• Good communication and coordination skills
