Job summary

Singapore Power Ltd is seeking a technical frontline worker to perform meter reads, service activations and disconnections for the electricity and water networks in Singapore.

You'll handle customer inquiries on consumption, investigate meter irregularities, and coordinate with teams to ensure service continuity. A vehicle is required for work, and you’ll operate under SS638 guidelines and MS Office tools while maintaining professionalism.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Higher NITEC / NITEC in engineering with at least 1 electrical module from a local Polytechnic or ITE.
• Must possess own vehicle and be willing to use it for work purposes.
• Conversant with SS638 Code of Practice for Electrical Installations and Electricity Regulations.
• Knowledge of MS Office.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills.
• Able to work on alternate Saturdays half day.

Responsibilities

• Carry out turn-on and cut-off of electricity and water; take meter readings for account opening/closing.
• Disconnection and reconnection of electricity supply for default payment accounts.
• Perform water thimble jobs.
• Attend to queries on high electricity consumption and conduct site investigations on suspected meter irregularities.
• Handle complaints, service recovery, and case investigations.
• Any other duties related to the job scope as assigned by Unit and Section Head.

2. Perform disconnection and reconnection of electricity supply for default payment utility accounts

3. Perform water thimble jobs

4. Attending to customers’ queries on high electricity consumption and conduct site investigation on suspected meter irregularities cases

5. Handle complaints, service recovery and case investigation

6. Any other duties related to the job scope as assigned by Unit and Section Head
