Job summary

Singapore Power Ltd is seeking a field-oriented professional to manage earthworks contractor activities across assigned routes. You will monitor high risk sites, process NCEs, and liaise with SP PowerGrid to ensure safety and compliance with Letters of Requirements.

The role involves patrolling cable routes, filling site reports via CGP app, and preparing case files for EMA. Candidate should hold a polytechnic Diploma and own a vehicle.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from recognized Polytechnics in Singapore.
  • Possess a personal vehicle for work purposes.
  • Skills in project planning, execution and management.
  • Good grasp of Microsoft applications (Outlook/Word/Excel/Teams).
  • Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all Earthworks Contractor enquiries for assigned route/zone.
  • Know locations of transmission cables and high risk sites for the assigned route/zone.
  • Consolidate high risk sites weekly and monitor earthwork progress of contractors.
  • Process Notice of Commencement of Earthworks (NCE), conduct site meetings, issue Letters of Requirements to contractor.
  • Patrol transmission cable routes to ensure preventive measures are in place and contractors comply with Letters of Requirements.
  • Fill site check reports during site visits via Cable & Gas Pipes (CGP) Mobile Application.
  • Ensure contractors have consulted SP PowerGrid (SPPG) for high risk sites.
  • Prepare Infringement Case File for submission to Energy Market Authority (EMA).
  • Perform Electricity Service Centre (ESC) standby duty for cable/gas pipe damage.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by supervisors.

What You’ll Do:

  • Consolidate the list of high risk sites weekly and constantly monitor the earthwork progress of the contractors.

  • Process Notice of Commencement of Earthworks (NCE), conduct site meeting, advice and issue Letter of Requirements to contractor

What You’ll Need:

  • Good grasp of using Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.

  • Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude

  • Able to work independently, as well as in a team and in a challenging environment
