Job description:
We are looking for a skilled and motivated E&I Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for electrical and instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, testing, and commissioning at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Perform troubleshooting, servicing, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance works.
Attend site breakdowns and provide technical support to customers.
Perform cable routing, wiring, termination, and instrument installation.
Assist with testing and calibration of instruments and control devices.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.
Prepare service reports and maintain accurate work records.
Participate in standby/on-call duties and respond to emergency breakdowns when required.
Ensure all work is carried out safely and in accordance with company and workplace safety requirements.
Requirements
Nitec, Higher Nitec, or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
Relevant technical certifications will be an added advantage.
Experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance, servicing, installation, or troubleshooting is preferred.
Experience or exposure to Oil & Gas, manufacturing, utilities, boiler & burner, or process industries will be an advantage.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, control panels, motors, sensors, and industrial equipment.
Basic knowledge of PLC and industrial automation systems will be an added advantage.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Positive work attitude with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
Willingness to travel to customer sites when required.
Willingness to work overtime and participate in standby/on-call duties.
