Job summary

Singapore Power Ltd is seeking a Diploma-qualified technician to support the service team in fault attendance and restoration activities. You will wear PPE, use MS Power Apps for administrative tasks, drive the company vehicle, and handle public queries while assisting fault investigations around a 24/7 operation.

Requirements include a Diploma in Electrical/Power Engineering, willingness to work 3-shift cycles, good communication, and proficiency with Microsoft applications.

Job description

What You'll Do:

1. Assists service team leader in attending to underground cable and overhead lines faults.

2. Assists HV and LV standby officers in faults investigation and restoration of supplies.

3. Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by company at work.

4. Uses MS Power Apps to perform administrative work.

5. Drives Company’s vehicle, keep proper records of the vehicle time sheets and upkeep the general condition of the vehicle and tools.

6. Interacts with members of public on supply related queries.

7. Assists service team leader in carrying out other tasks.

8. Perform any other duties related to the job scope

What You'll Need:

1. Diploma in Electrical / Power Engineering or related disciplines from recognized Polytechnics in Singapore

2. Able to work 3-shift on rotation for 24/7 operation including public holiday

3. Good oral and written communication skills.

4. Good grasp of using Microsoft applications, e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.

5. Highly motivated individual with a positive attitude

6. Able to work independently, as well as in a team and in a challenging environment

7. Possess at least a valid class 3 (or in the process of obtaining may be considered) would be advantageous
