• Handle incoming vessel purchase orders immediately.
• Negotiate prices and follow up on orders.
• Maintain and update supplier database.
• Evaluate quotations and select suppliers with authority.
• Coordinate with warehouse and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Issue instructions to suppliers.
• Keep Vessel Managers informed of deliveries.
• Liaise with vessel port agents.
• Arrange customs clearance.
• Assist Vessel Manager with bookings for service and repairs.
• Maintain and update supplier databases across platforms.

About the job Technical Officer (Ship Management)

Responsibilities of the Job:

• Immediate handling of incoming vessel purchase orders
• Send orders to appropriate suppliers for quotes.
• Price negotiations and order follow-up with suppliers
• Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm supplier selection following Superintendent/Technical Manager or higher authority permission.
• To work closely with the warehouse and suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Send instructions to the supplier.
• Keep the vessels and Vessel Managers informed of any delivery.
• Contact with the port agents of the vessel
• Clearance through customs
• Based on the practical arrangements made by the Vessel Manager, make the necessary official bookings for service and repairs.
• Maintain and update the supplier's database across many platforms.
