About the job Procurement Officer (Ship Management)
DESCRIPTION
Handle allocated vessels for procurement arrangement.
To work closely with the Superintendent Engineer directly for the procurement and supply of goods and services to vessel/s as assigned by the Procurement Manager.
To maintain the following:
A full record of all requisitions received from the vessels;
Coordination with Superintendent Engineer on requisition received from vessels;
Initiate enquiries with company approved suppliers;
On receipt of quotations make price comparison of the supplier and present the data to Superintendent in-charge for approval;
To generate Purchase Orders in the system and send to Supplier and to get their acknowledgement of receipt of order.
To arrange dispatch of stores/spares in close coordination with Superintendent Engineer through the most economical way but always keeping in mind urgency of goods required on board.
To obtain delivery acknowledgement from vessel
REQUIREMENT
Good written and interpersonal communication skills
