Job summary

Ming Deng Metrology Services Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced leader to head the Technical Department in our Singapore office. You will oversee calibration services and repairs, manage the team, and drive budgeting, training, and equipment management in alignment with ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years' experience in metrology or similar.
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.
• Leadership to manage a team of 3–5 people.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong planning of manpower, tools and resources.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• High integrity and drive for excellence.
• Willing to share technical knowledge.
• Ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team and delegate work to ensure operational efficiency in calibration services and repairs.
• Resolve complex calibration issues escalated by team or clients and improve technical knowledge.
• Manage day-to-day operations with adequate manpower and resources to meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with Sales and other departments to understand client needs and deadlines.
• Hands-on in calibration services to fulfil client orders per accreditation standards.
• Review team outputs to ensure accuracy and traceability per ISO/IEC 17025.
• As signatory, ensure client reports are complete with data and uncertainty.
• Plan and review work environment for Health and Safety compliance.
• Review and improve operational procedures, calibration methods and reporting filing.
• Lead in identifying new calibration methods and tools with management approvals.
• Work with Sales and Quality to improve procedures and cost efficiency.
• Participate in Annual Management Review.
