Job summary

HCL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Java microservices architect/developer to design and deliver large distributed systems. You will implement microservices using Spring Boot, REST/ SOAP and contribute to architecture, patterns, and CI/CD for Kubernetes deployments.

You will collaborate with SMEs, translate requirements into scalable designs, and drive best practices for security, performance, and reliability in Azure environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in CS/IT or related field.
• 7+ years of technical development experience including backend integration.
• Strong hands-on Java/J2EE with Spring Boot.
• Deep knowledge of SOA, Microservices architecture, REST and SOAP services.
• Experience with Java core, Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot, JUnit, Cucumber.
• Experience with design patterns and clean code.
• Experience with Java microservices (Spring Boot) and REST/ SOAP APIs.
• Experience designing and coding scalable microservices.
• Experience with middleware/messaging (MQ, JMS, Kafka).
• Experience with Spring Cloud and AKS.
• Experience with Azure Open Service Mesh for Pod-to-Pod communication.
• Experience with API management (APIM).
• Experience in CI/CD and deploying Java microservices to Kubernetes.
• Swagger specs for REST APIs and REST principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement large distributed systems with microservices.
• Define architecture, patterns and best practices for microservice implementations.
• Translate requirements into technical designs.
• Collaborate with SMEs to meet requirements.
• Lead efforts to build accelerators and tools for higher quality deliverables.
• Evaluate technologies to optimize cost, portability, and usability.
• Identify changes to technologies and platforms to meet customer needs.
• Drive efficient use of technology, platforms, and systems.
• Highlight risks and provide quality solutions.
