Job summary

FOREFRONT MEDICAL INVESTMENT PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to lead concept and detailed design of mechanical parts, electromechanical subsystems and pneumatic mechanisms.

You will conduct feasibility studies, FMEA, DFM/ DFA, tolerance analysis, and material selection while coordinating prototype fabrication, testing, and validation to ensure performance, reliability, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
• 3–5 years hands-on product design experience.
• Proficient in advanced 3D CAD modeling software.
• Understanding of injection molding and secondary processes.
• Familiar with medical device manufacturing standards (ISO 13485 advantageous).
• Strong problem-solving mindset and communication skills.
• Collaborative across tooling and production teams.

Responsibilities

2. Conducts feasibility studies, FMEA, DFM. DFA, tolerance analysis, and material selection

3. Coordinate the fabrication, assembly, and validation of prototypes to ensure they meet specifications.

4. Perform technical analysis to validate and optimise design to ensure design to ensure designs meet specifications, project timeline and cost objectives

5. Build and test functional prototypes/jigs and fixtures using additive manufacturing (FDM/SLA), CNC machining, RTV silicone molding.

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics
• Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in product design
• Proficient in advanced 3D CAD modeling software

• (ISO 13485) is highly advantageous
