Job summary

Evolution Singapore is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanism design and full product development of electro-mechanical devices from concept through mass production. You will design mechanical systems, perform GD&T and FEA, and guide projects from prototyping to production ramp-up, collaborating closely with Manufacturing, Electrical, Firmware and Software teams.

Proficiency with CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA, Inventor) and experience with motors and motion systems are

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience in mechanism and product design.
• Proven experience taking products from concept through mass production.
• Experience with motors, motion systems, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Proficient in CAD tools: SolidWorks, Creo, NX, CATIA or Inventor; GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical systems, modules, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Develop mechanisms involving gears, cams, linkages, pulleys, belts, motors, and power transmission.
• Own product development from concept, prototyping, validation, and production launch.
• Perform engineering calculations such as motor sizing, torque, force, gear ratio, and tolerance stack-up.
• Apply GD&T, DFM/DFA, DFMEA, and FEA to improve reliability and manufacturability.
• Support injection moulding, machining, sheet metal, die-casting, assembly, and production ramp-up.
• Troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues and drive product improvements.
• Work closely with Manufacturing, EE, Firmware, Software, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams.

• Good knowledge of GD&T, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with DFM/DFA, DFMEA, FEA, DOE, or Six Sigma is advantageous
