Job summary

NEXBRIDGE RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced architect/interior designer to lead design development from concept to construction documents in Singapore. You will prepare detailed drawings, coordinate 3D models, and present designs to clients for approvals.

You will mentor junior designers, collaborate with PMs, fabricators, and consultants, and ensure designs meet budgets and fabrication constraints. Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D software is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related built environment.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural and/or interior design in Singapore.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and detail construction documentation.
• Proficient in 3D modelling and rendering (SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape).
• Good understanding of materials, fabrication techniques and construction processes.
• Strong design development and technical knowledge; client and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to design development across all project phases from concept through documentation.
• Prepare and coordinate detailed 2D drawings and authority submission drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop and review high-quality 3D models and renderings to support studies and approvals.
• Translate design concepts into practical, buildable solutions meeting budget and fabrication needs.
• Work closely with PMs, fabricators, contractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure accurate execution.
• Participate in client meetings and design presentations providing professional input.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and resolve design or coordination issues.
• Review drawings and mentor junior designers as required.
• Research and recommend materials, finishes, systems and construction methods.
• Contribute creative ideas and practical design solutions to enhance project quality.

Job description

• Lead and contribute to design development across all project phases, from concept design and design development to technical documentation
• Prepare and coordinate detailed 2D drawings, construction details and authority submission drawings using AutoCAD
• Develop and review high-quality 3D models, visualisations and renderings using SketchUp and other relevant software to support design studies, presentations and client approval
• Translate design concepts into practical and buildable solutions that meet project budget, timeline and fabrication requirements
• Work closely with Project Managers, fabricators, contractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure designs are executed accurately
• Participate in client meetings, design presentations and technical discussions, providing professional design input and recommendations
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, review shop drawings and samples, and resolve design or coordination issues
• Review drawings and provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers where required
• Research and recommend suitable materials, finishes, systems and construction methods based on project requirements
• Contribute creative ideas and practical design solutions to enhance project quality and overall delivery

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's in Architecture, Interior Design or a related built environment discipline
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in architectural and/or interior design in Singapore
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and experience preparing detailed construction documentation
• Proficient in 3D modelling and rendering software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape or similar
• Good understanding of materials, detailing, fabrication techniques and construction processes
• Strong design development and technical knowledge, with the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions
• Good communication and coordination skills, with confidence in working with clients, contractors and project stakeholders
• Prior experience in a design-and-build environment will be highly advantageous
