in Singapore seeks a senior Architectural/Interior Design Lead to drive design development from concept through technical documentation, ensuring buildable, budget-conscious outcomes across all phases. The role requires mentoring junior designers, coordinating with project managers, fabricators and consultants, and presenting refined 3D models and drawings to clients for approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or related built environment.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in architecture and/or interior design in Singapore.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency with experience preparing detailed construction documentation.
• Proficient in 3D modelling and rendering software such as SketchUp, 3ds Max, Rhino, V-Ray, Enscape or similar.
• Good understanding of materials, detailing, fabrication techniques and construction processes.
• Strong design development and technical knowledge, with the ability to translate concepts into practical solutions.
• Good communication and coordination skills, with confidence in working with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
• Prior experience in a design-and-build environment will be highly advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to design development across all project phases, from concept design and design development to technical documentation
• Prepare and coordinate detailed 2D drawings, construction details and authority submission drawings using AutoCAD
• Develop and review high-quality 3D models, visualisations and renderings using SketchUp and other relevant software to support design studies, presentations and client approval
• Translate design concepts into practical and buildable solutions that meet project budget, timeline and fabrication requirements
• Work closely with Project Managers, fabricators, contractors, suppliers and consultants to ensure designs are executed accurately
• Participate in client meetings, design presentations and technical discussions, providing professional design input and recommendations
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, review shop drawings and samples, and resolve design or coordination issues
• Review drawings and provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers where required
• Research and recommend suitable materials, finishes, systems and construction methods based on project requirements
• Contribute creative ideas and practical design solutions to enhance project quality and overall delivery
