Job summary

Trace Design + Build Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Interior Designer with 2–3 years of local experience in interior design or architecture to join the team and drive concepts through to completion. You will create interior concepts, space planning, 2D layouts, and 3D visuals, coordinate with site teams, and prepare documentation and procurement specs while communicating with clients for approvals.

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design or Architecture and a strong portfolio are required;

What You'll Be Doing

• Client Engagement & Visioning: Partner with our architectural team to conduct client consultations, deeply understand project requirements, and build strong, lasting relationships.

• Concept & Spatial Design: Develop creative interior concepts, space planning, detailed 2D layouts, and high-impact 3D visualisations/presentations.

• Material Curation & Client Guidance: Leverage deep material and finishing knowledge to curate selections and confidently guide clients toward final approvals.

• On-Site Execution & Alignment: Work hand-in-hand with site Project Managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure final physical builds match approved designs seamlessly.

• Documentation & Specifications: Prepare comprehensive design packages, joinery details, and procurement specifications required for flawless project execution.

• Project Delivery & Client Communication: Manage project milestones and provide regular updates to clients, addressing adjustments while keeping projects on schedule.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of professional local experience in Singapore within an interior design or architectural firm.

• Technical Mastery: Highly proficient in 2D drafting and 3D rendering tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite).

• Material & Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Singapore’s renovation materials, construction details, joinery, and local building standards.

• Interpersonal & Communication Skills: Exceptional English verbal and presentation skills, with a proven ability to build client trust and collaborate smoothcross internal teams.

• Site Awareness & Synergy: Demonstrated ability to coordinate with on-site teams to resolve practical challenges without compromising design integrity.

• Qualifications: Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, backed by a strong portfolio of completed residential or commercial work.
