Job summary

M.T.M. SHIP MANAGEMENT PTE LTD is seeking a Senior Technical Executive / Purchaser to manage procurement for vessels. You will source parts, negotiate with suppliers, and process POs while coordinating with the technical team for dry dockings and routine maintenance. Strong analytical and multi-tasking abilities are essential.

You will liaise with vendors to ensure timely deliveries, manage budgets, and prepare monthly procurement reports to support smooth ship operations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in purchasing for ship management.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical skills.

• Computer literate and proficient with procurement systems.

Responsibilities

SR. TECHNICAL EXECUTIVE / PURCHASER

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Supply Chain Management

• Source, evaluate, and procure spare parts,stores, lubricants, and services for assigned vessels in a cost-effective andtimely manner.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and ensure quality and compliance with technical specifications.
• Raise and process Purchase Orders (POs) in accordance with company procedures and budgetary controls.

Coordination with Technical Team

• Liaise closely with Technical Superintendents, vessel PIC, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate understanding of requirements.
• Support the planning and procurement of spareparts and services for dry dockings, repairs, and routine maintenance.

Logistics & Delivery

• Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders,and agents to ensure timely delivery of goods to vessels at designated ports.
• Monitor and track shipments, resolve delivery issues, and handle documentation for customs and port clearance.

Inventory & Budget Control

• Monitor vessel inventory levels and assist in optimizing stock levels to avoid overstocking or shortages.
• Ensure adherence to budget limits and seek approval for any excess spending.

Reporting

• Prepare monthly reports.

Requirements:

• Min 2 years of working experience in Purchasing for Ship Management companies.
• Detail oriented, good analytical skills and able to multi-task
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Computer literate
