Job summary

Eastern Pacific Shipping Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking a detail-oriented Technical Executive to support fleet operations by managing critical procurement and technical workflows across vessels worldwide.

You will coordinate sourcing, supplier relations, and maintenance planning, ensuring timely deliveries, regulatory compliance, and accurate documentation in line with ISO procedures.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in any discipline.
  • 1+ year experience in technical procurement or purchasing in shipping.
  • Solid knowledge of technical, purchasing and logistics processes.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and email.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Flair for numbers and budget tracking.
  • Familiar with ISO procedures and maritime regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end technical procurement: sourcing, quotes, POs and deliveries.
  • Ensure timely supply of spares, stores, provisions and other materials to vessels.
  • Coordinate with vessels, suppliers, operations and fleet staff for deliveries and spare parts readiness.
  • Review supplier performance, negotiate pricing and terms, support cost optimization.
  • Coordinate class and flag administration: surveys, inspections, compliance, and docs.
  • Support vessel ownership transfers, flag changes, and newbuild/takeover activities.
  • Arrange repair and servicing of off-land equipment with timely completion and proper docs.
  • Assist Technical Superintendents in dry-docking planning, budgets and contractor coordination.
  • Monitor the validity of vessel trading certificates and maintain technical records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO procedures and regulatory requirements.

Job description

Are you a detail-oriented professional looking to make waves in the maritime industry? We are seeking a dedicated individual to support our fleet operations by managing critical procurement and technical workflows. You will play a vital role in ensuring our vessels remain seaworthy, compliant, and fully equipped for their journeys across the globe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end technical procurement activities, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, purchase order issuance, and delivery coordination for vessel requirements.
  • Ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of spares, stores, provisions, and other technical materials to vessels worldwide.
  • Liaise with vessels, suppliers, operations teams, and fleet personnel to coordinate deliveries, resolve supply issues, and monitor spare parts readiness.
  • Review supplier performance, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and support cost optimization initiatives.
  • Coordinate class and flag administration requirements, including surveys, inspections, statutory compliance, and related technical documentation.
  • Support vessel ownership transfers, flag changes, and newbuilding or vessel takeover activities by coordinating technical and logistical requirements.
  • Arrange and coordinate the repair and servicing of off-land equipment, ensuring timely completion and proper documentation.
  • Assist Technical Superintendents in dry-docking planning, specification preparation, budget monitoring, contractor coordination, and project documentation.
  • Monitor the validity of vessel trading certificates, maintain technical records, and ensure accurate procurement and operational documentation.
  • Ensure all technical and procurement activities are carried out in compliance with company policies, ISO procedures, and marine regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum a diploma in any discipline
  • At least one year of experience as a Technical Executive or in a purchasing role within shipping
  • Strong foundational knowledge of technical, purchasing, and logistics processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email communication
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
  • A natural flair for numbers and budget tracking
  • Familiarity with ISO procedures and maritime regulatory requirements
