Job summary

TALENTSIS PTE. LTD. seeks a Quantity Surveyor to contribute across cost planning, measurement and final accounts within a consultancy setting.

You will handle BOQ preparation, cost tracking, variations and monthly claims, while coordinating with consultants and contractors to ensure accurate pricing. Fresh graduates may be considered for junior positions; senior roles expect hands-on experience in cost management, contract administration, and client-facing reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline.
• Senior QS: preferably 6+ years of hands-on Quantity Surveying experience.
• Consultancy experience will be an advantage.
• Strong understanding of construction measurement, cost management and contract administration.

Responsibilities

• Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare measurement documentation for construction works.
• Assist with the preparation and review of Bills of Quantities.
• Monitor project costs and support cost estimation and budgeting activities.
• Assess variations and assist with the evaluation and pricing of commercial claims.
• Review monthly progress claims and assist with final account preparation.
• Support tender exercises, contract administration and related documentation.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors and suppliers on commercial and cost-related matters.
• Obtain and compare supplier/subcontractor quotations where required.
• Maintain organised records of project measurements, claims, quotations and other documentation.
• Work closely with senior team members and provide support to junior colleagues where applicable.

This role offers exposure to various stages of construction projects, from cost planning and tendering through to progress payments, variations and final accounts. Candidates who are looking to build or further develop their career within a consultancy environment are encouraged to apply.

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Professional qualifications or membership with relevant industry bodies will be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
• Able to manage responsibilities independently and work effectively within a project team.
• Fresh graduates with a relevant Quantity Surveying qualification may be considered for junior positions.
