Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or trading floor environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365 including Entra ID, Intune, SCCM and Azure administration.
• Familiarity with hardware, software and fleet-wide deployments and executive-level desktop support.
• Strong research and analytical skills with curiosity to solve unfamiliar problems and improve processes.
• Clear interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Availability to work on site Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend assignments.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Job description

Referment is working with a global quantitative investment business seeking a Systems Administrator for its Singapore office. The systems function supports enterprise technology across Windows and UNIX environments, storage and clustered computing, communications platforms and end-user equipment.

This is a hands-on, office-based role combining direct user support with infrastructure administration, troubleshooting and project work. You will collaborate with global colleagues and vendors, helping people use technology effectively while improving the reliability and efficiency of the underlying environment.

The Role

• Provide in-person support covering PC hardware, peripherals, software deployments, mobile-device management, videoconferencing, AV equipment, trading-floor technology and occasional data-centre work.

What We're Looking For

• Professional experience within financial services or trading floor environments, including familiarity with hedge fund infrastructure and trading platforms such as Bloomberg.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows enterprise environments and Microsoft 365, including hands-on experience with Entra ID, Intune, SCCM, and Azure administration.
• Practical systems-administration familiarity across hardware, software, and fleet-wide deployments, including experience providing executive-level desktop support.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with curiosity to solve unfamiliar problems and improve processes.
• Clear interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
• Availability to work on site Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime and weekend assignments.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Hong Kong and Shanghai.

Desirable Experience

Experience with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Shell, or Python), Linux administration and monitoring, and cloud infrastructure management (Azure or AWS) is highly regarded. Working proficiency in Mandarin would be useful as the role interacts with regional Mandarin-speaking colleagues and stakeholders.
