Job summary

tescom (singapore) software systems testing pte ltd. is seeking an experienced System Test Manager to lead the testing team through planning, coordination, and execution of testing activities for high-quality software deliveries.

You will define test strategies and manage resources to meet project timelines and quality standards, including after-hours support as needed. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 15+ years in software testing with 10+ years in management, plus

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
15+ years in software testing and quality assurance, with at least 10 years in a managerial role for large-scale projects in Agile and Waterfall environments.
Experience in large-scale testing and commissioning in transport/traffic management domains would be advantageous.
Strong knowledge of SDLC and testing methodologies (Agile, Waterfall).
Hands-on experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail) and automation tools (Selenium, UFT).
Proven vendor/partner collaboration and stakeholder management experience.
Deep expertise in test management practices and methodologies.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with performance testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, plans, and processes aligned with project requirements and business objectives.
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers to ensure high productivity, quality, and motivation.
Collaborate with project manager, software manager, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and define testing scope.
Oversee test execution across functional, regression, integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Define, monitor, and report key testing metrics to senior management.
Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to software releases and deployments.
Manage test environments, tools, and automation frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality policies.
Drive continuous improvement in testing processes through feedback and retrospectives.
Coordinate testing activities with external vendors or partners when applicable.
Provide support for night and after-office hour testing activities as required.
