Job summary

ScienTec Consulting Pte Ltd invites applications for a Data Centre Operations Support Engineer to help oversee day-to-day data centre facilities and IT infrastructure in Singapore. You will monitor critical systems, support IT operations, and ensure documentation is up-to-date.

Based in the North-Eastern Singapore, the contract role offers a salary up to 3500 SGD base plus AWS and requires Diploma in IT/Facilities/Engineering. You will work Monday to Friday with potential shift duties.

Qualifications

• Diploma in IT, facilities management, engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in data centre operations or IT facilities operations.
• Understanding of data centre infra: power, cooling, monitoring.
• Familiar with IT operations, incident management, and security procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination with vendors and stakeholders.
• Willing to work shift duties or emergency response when required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain critical data centre infrastructure, including UPS, PDUs, cooling systems, fire suppression systems, and related facilities equipment.
• Conduct regular environmental checks covering temperature, humidity, water leakage, and other facility conditions.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve infrastructure and facility issues.
• Support preventive maintenance, equipment installation, and infrastructure-related activities.
• Maintain proper cable management, equipment organisation, cleanliness, and operational readiness of the data centre.

Job description

We are seeking a Data Centre Operations Support Engineer to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, security, and availability of data centre facilities and IT infrastructure.

The role involves monitoring critical infrastructure, supporting IT operations, coordinating maintenance activities, managing physical security processes, and ensuring operational documentation is kept up to date.

Working Hours: Mon-Fri
Working Location: North-Eastern, Singapore
Salary Package: Up to $3500 (basic) + AWS
Job Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Comfortable working in an operational environment and supporting shift duties or emergency response when required .

Advantageous Certifications

• ITIL Foundation.
• Data Centre Operations or Data Centre Management certification.
• Relevant IT infrastructure certifications.
• Security or cybersecurity awareness certifications.
