Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 4-6 years of experience in Data Centre Operations, Infrastructure Operations, Site Reliability, or IT Infrastructure Support.
• Experience supporting enterprise or colocation data centre environments.
• Experience managing critical infrastructure in a 24x7 operational environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day data centre operations, ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure and services.
• Coordinate with Data Centre Facilities teams, vendors, remote hands, and project teams to support operational requirements.
• Support server installations, rack deployments, decommissioning activities, and infrastructure changes.
• Monitor power, cooling, environmental, and IT infrastructure health across multiple sites.
• Perform routine infrastructure health checks, preventive maintenance, and operational readiness reviews.
• Manage rack space allocation, power capacity planning, and infrastructure utilization.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Centre Operations Engineer to support and manage mission‑critical data centre operations across regional sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring infrastructure availability, power and environmental monitoring, incident management, capacity planning, asset management, and onsite technical support for enterprise IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

Data Centre Operations & Infrastructure

• Manage day‑to‑day data centre operations, ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure and services.
• Coordinate with Data Centre Facilities teams, vendors, remote hands, and project teams to support operational requirements.
• Support server installations, rack deployments, decommissioning activities, and infrastructure changes.
• Monitor power, cooling, environmental, and IT infrastructure health across multiple sites.
• Perform routine infrastructure health checks, preventive maintenance, and operational readiness reviews.
• Manage rack space allocation, power capacity planning, and infrastructure utilization.

Monitoring & Automation

• Administer and maintain monitoring platforms such as Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenDCIM, or similar tools.
• Configure monitoring alerts, thresholds, dashboards, and reporting.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages to improve operational efficiency.
• Support integration of infrastructure monitoring, telemetry, and reporting systems.

Incident & Problem Management

• Monitor infrastructure alerts and respond to incidents within agreed service levels.
• Lead incident troubleshooting, impact assessment, escalation, restoration activities, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurring incidents.
• Maintain incident records, service requests, and change documentation using ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms.

Requirements
