Sustainable Production Lead – Safety & Lean Excellence

Job summary

A-Gas is seeking a Production Manager in Singapore to lead safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations at our facility. You will oversee production staff, coordinate maintenance, manage inventory and documentation, and drive continuous improvement to meet customer requirements and quality standards.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Service teams to optimize resources, control costs, and ensure traceability from raw materials to finished cylinders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily production activities to ensure customer requirements, production schedules & quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Monitor production efficiency, manpower utilization and equipment performance.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with Engineering.
• Ensure production records, documentation and traceability are accurate & complete.
• Ensure that the system is fully utilized for all product and cylinder movement with complete traceability.
• Manage and liaise with suppliers & service providers involved in isotank cleaning, product supply & other support services required.
• Efficiently manage & control production operating costs by optimizing manpower to reduce overtime costs and identify opportunities to maximize utilization of resources & reduce overall cost.
• Maintain accurate product inventory with visibility to Management & Commercial Team to support sales forecast.
• Maintain an up to date and timely Get Gas documentation including corresponding laboratory reports to support data analysis.
• Support stock take activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Support customer complaint & warranty investigation to assist in the timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
• Support Sales & Customer Service Teams in planning import & export shipments by providing accurate production schedule updates, material availability and forecasted timelines for materials required.
• Monitor virgin gas inventory against blending requirements and NEA quota allocations to ensure adequate stock availability. Proactively identify replenishment requirements, communicate needs to the Sales Team & Management and coordinate procurement with suppliers.
• Lead lean & continuous initiatives to drive operational excellence, enhance productivity, minimize down-time, cost reduction, process improvement and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
