The Supply Chain Manager (Logistics & Inventory) is responsible for managing all logistics from global and domestic inbound/outbound shipment to warehouse management/TMS. He/she drives logistics and inventory operational excellence, including inventory management and inventory positioning. He/she will handle logistics related management reporting and financial reporting support needed as well as all people and activities including 3PL/4PL warehouse.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managerial
- Manage and initiate all projects and improvement related to logistics Cost, Operational Excellence and Inventory in the region.
- Ensure compliance and updating SOP & Work process instruction to meet the dynamic customer requirements and the validated Service Level Agreements
- Coordinates end to end the Regional Agents operations and performance, included relationship with 3PL/4PL companies.
- Optimises with countries the logistics footprint and requirements towards 3PL/4PL to meet the sustainable growth, customer satisfaction and efficiency strategic goals of the company
- Manages all reporting requirements as well as KPI setting, dashboard management and stakeholder management with internal and external suppliers like 3PL
- Participate in price negotiation with freights, transportation, and warehouse to achieve best outcome
- Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others
- Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities and advise cost implications and efficiency
Manage 3PL (Inbound/Outbound) warehouses
- Oversee Transport booking (in-bound) via EDI through SAP/TMS
- Oversee communication with 3PL and CS Coordinator (change of PDD, change of address, special delivery instructions, change of part number, less quantity pallet, delays)
- Oversee daily operations (vessel/trucks leaving on time, incoming received on time) in Hub
- Oversee short term delivery / ad-hoc requests
- Manage day-to-day issues in SAP/TMS to close shipments (e.g. discrepancies pallet ID issues, pallets not received correctly, quantity change, EDI issues…)
- Manage Customs issues (provide documentation, physical inspection)
KPI with 3PL and Freights
- Supplier benchmarking, negotiation of distribution and rates
- Delivery Performance
- Transport claim management Inbound/Outbound logistics
- Auditing and reviews ISO standard
- Oversee invoicing for all customer
- Billing validation
- Oversee related admin matters on freight matters including liaising with with relevant parties
Oversee and manage stock/inventory
- Utilise the inventory tracking system to ensure physical inventory accuracy, adherence to inventory control procedures and compliance to safety regulations.
- Proposes improvements in Inventory Management (process, methods and tools) and steers performance in consistency with Business, Service and financial objectives of the company
- Designs, automates and analyses reporting on inventory operations, stock levels to build associated action plan Ensure stock accuracy at month end (monthly stock reconciliation) as well as predict potential inventory problems
- Review status of aged Inventory - FIFO
Oversee and manage Claims
- Resolve all problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer and claim issues.
- Conduct environmental audits for logistics activities to ensure processes are as environmentally friendly as possible.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistic Management, or equivalent qualifications
- Min 10 years’ experience in managing a cross-border logistics team for Inbound and Outbound
- Experience in Inventory Management
- Experience in dealing or worked in forwarding/3PL Warehouse company
- Knowledge in warehouse/logistics/manufacturing environment is advantageousCapable of writing SOP,PROCESS FLOW & POLICIES required for freight management and operations.
- Knowledge of TMS, SAP, WMS, 3PL/4PL Solutions
- Working/hands-on knowledge with Microsoft Office and related tools
- Knowledge of tools and methodologies like SPC, Fish-Bone Analysis, TPM, etc. will be an added advantage.
