Job summary

Maersk in Singapore is seeking an entry-level Trade Operations Support to assist APAC cross-border shipments under guidance from senior team members. You will help track shipments, check documentation, and support customs clearance, payments, and operational reporting while you learn practical logistics processes.

Training and on-the-job guidance are provided to build familiarity with cross-border trade, document checks, and collaboration with brokers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates encouraged; internship or part-time experience in logistics or operations is an advantage but not required.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work with different stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented, organised, responsible, and willing to learn in a fast-paced working environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily cross-border shipment coordination by following established procedures and instructions.
• Update shipment records and trackers, and follow up with relevant teams on pending information or actions.
• Monitor customs clearance progress and report delays or issues to the supervisor.
• Check that basic shipping, customs, duty, and tax documents are complete before submission.
• File trade documents accurately and follow up on missing or incorrect information.
• Assist in checking invoices and supporting documents for completeness.
• Update payment records and follow up on approvals under the guidance of senior team members.
• Communicate routine updates and follow up with internal teams, brokers, and service providers.
• Maintain operational trackers and highlight delays, missing information, or unusual issues to the supervisor.
• Prepare simple status updates and reports using the required templates.
