Job summary

Keppel Data Centres seeks an experienced project lead to drive submarine cable infrastructure initiatives. You will coordinate joint build partners, customers and internal teams to deliver secure, compliant submarine cable projects from planning through commissioning.

The role requires 7–10 years in submarine cable operations, strong stakeholder management and hands-on experience with PFE, OTDR/COTDR, OADM and related equipment. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics or Telecommunication).
• 7–10 years+ experience in submarine cable operations or projects.
• Experience driving submarine cable projects from concept to delivery.
• Experience with submarine cable equipment such as PFE, monitoring gear, OADM, SLTE, OTDR/COTDR, spectrum analyzers.
• Experience in customer service delivery, assurance or partnership management.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with prioritization ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Team oriented, able to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-starter who can work with minimal direction under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Work with joint build partners, customers and internal teams to implement submarine cable projects through secure routes meeting stakeholders’ needs.
• Convert business requirements into partnership model projects and draft execution plans with partners and internal teams.
• Develop ownership structures for consortium projects and work on JBA, LPA, MOU, IRU agreements as required.
• Consolidate budget inputs from suppliers, landing parties and internal stakeholders.
• Track budgets, costs, forecast expenditure and identify overruns with corrective actions.
• Manage cost-sharing arrangements and ensure compliance with partnership agreements.
• Evaluate project risks and mitigation strategies.
• Review schedules, milestones, implementation plans and commissioning strategies.
• Collaborate with vendors and partners to drive design, manufacturing and installation of the submarine cable system.
• Ensure deliverables such as permits, landing stations, fronthaul routes and leases are ready on time.
• Own customer experience and act as SME for submarine cable implementations.
• Conduct periodic reviews with partners and stakeholders; travel may be required.
