Job summary

Seoulstart is seeking an experienced customer-facing engineer to drive technical discovery and design for our customers. You will lead engagements, present solutions in executive briefings and demos, and identify expansion opportunities across markets within existing accounts.

The role requires strong English and Mandarin communication, ability to lead meetings with executives, and deep understanding of SDLC and API architectures. Travel internationally is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in customer-facing engineering roles (sales engineer, solutions architect, pre-sales).
• Strong verbal and written communication in English and Mandarin for Chinese merchants.
• Executive engagement and ability to build relationships across organizational levels.
• Lead customer meetings confidently and facilitate group discussions for strategic opportunities.
• Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and API architectures.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills explaining complex concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Operate independently in ambiguous, fast-paced environments managing multiple priorities.
• Take ownership and drive change in constantly evolving environments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical discovery and business analysis on customer operations to inform solution proposals.
• Lead strategic customer engagements and design technical solutions, presenting via executive briefings and demonstrations.
• Identify expansion opportunities across new markets and business units within existing customer accounts.
• Capture customer insights and emerging trends to inform Stripe product development priorities.
• Provide technical guidance to sales teams on solutions for prospective and existing customers.
• Deliver technical demonstrations showcasing how Stripe solutions address customer business problems.
