Job summary

Argyll Scott Singapore is partnering with a Temasek-backed technology company expanding across Southeast Asia and Greater China. We seek a Lead Solutions Architect to anchor technical engagements, architect secure and scalable solutions, and prototype implementations with customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience, including 2+ years in customer-facing roles.
• Strong foundation in distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud architecture.
• Builder mindset with the ability to write code, integrate systems and prototype.
• Experience with startups and enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of identity and security technologies such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, IAM, cryptography.
• Experience taking solutions from discovery to PoC to implementation.
• Excellent communication to translate complex concepts for engineers and stakeholders.
• Exposure to AI systems and modern development tools.
• Willingness to travel across SEA and Greater China.
• Mandarin proficiency is required.

Lead Solutions Architect – SEA & Greater China

Our client is a Temasek-backed technology company transforming how businesses and individuals manage digital identity, data and trust across borders and industries.

As the business expands across Southeast Asia and Greater China, they are looking for a Lead Solutions Architect to act as a technical anchor across customer engagement, solution design, prototyping and implementation.

This is an opportunity for a hands‑on technologist who enjoys working directly with customers and turning complex concepts into working solutions.

The Role

You will:

• Lead technical discovery, architecture discussions and solution design with customers
• Translate customer requirements into secure, scalable and trust‑enabled architectures
• Design solutions across APIs, microservices, distributed systems and cloud platforms
• Build and deliver PoCs, prototypes, demos and reference implementations
• Support strategic customer engagements and resolve complex technical challenges
• Guide customers from discovery and validation through to production adoption
• Develop reusable solution patterns, reference architectures and technical documentation
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to bring customer insights into product direction
• Represent the organisation at customer workshops, industry events and ecosystem engagements

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of professional experience, including at least 2 years in a customer‑facing technical role such as Solutions Architect, Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant or Software Engineer
• Strong engineering foundation in distributed systems, APIs, microservices and cloud architecture
• A genuine builder mindset with the ability to write code, integrate systems and develop prototypes
• Experience working with both start‑ups and enterprise environments
• Knowledge of identity and security technologies, such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, IAM, cryptography or decentralised identity
• Experience taking solutions from discovery → PoC → implementation → production
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for engineers and senior stakeholders
• Exposure to AI systems and modern development tools
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and making pragmatic technical decisions
• Able to challenge customers constructively and influence technical direction
• Mandarin language proficiency is required
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia and Greater China
