Job summary

PERSOL Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a strategic Business Development professional in the supply chain and logistics sector.

You will identify opportunities, build relationships with customers and partners, and develop tailored solution proposals to win new business. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into practical supply chain improvements, and you may travel as needed to engage with clients and close deals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in sales, business development, logistics, supply chain, freight forwarding, contract logistics, related field.
• Good understanding of logistics and end to end supply chain processes.
• Commercially minded with a consultative approach to selling.
• Curious, proactive, and eager to understand customer operations and industry challenges.
• Interest in technological advancements, digital transformation, and AI trends.
• Ability to translate customer challenges into practical, value-added solutions and business opportunities.
• Ability to travel when required.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in supply chain and logistics solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and strategic partners.
• Conduct customer discussions to understand business requirements, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities.
• Develop and present solution proposals tailored to customer needs.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design competitive and practical solutions.
• Support quotation preparation, commercial proposal development, and contract discussions.
• Conduct market research and analyse industry trends to identify emerging business opportunities.
• Stay informed about technological advancements, digital solutions, and AI applications relevant to supply chain management.
• Contribute to sales pipeline development and achievement of business targets.
