Job summary

H2G Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a Sales Engineer to drive sales growth while providing technical and commercial support to customers. The role combines quantity surveying, cost estimation, tender preparation, and project pricing with business development and client relationship management to secure new projects and maximize revenue.

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 8 years of experience in quantity surveying, estimation, tendering, or technical sales, and be skilled at negotiating pricing

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related disciplines.
• Strong cost estimation and quantity take-off skills.
• Experience in tendering, contract administration, and pricing for projects.
• Proven sales and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimation software.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Sales & Business Development: identify and develop new business opportunities; build relationships with consultants, contractors, developers, architects, and end users; conduct customer visits and product presentations; prepare quotations and proposals; negotiate pricing and terms; achieve sales targets.
• Quantity Surveying & Costing: review drawings and tender docs; prepare take-offs and cost estimates; develop pricing proposals; evaluate tenders; coordinate with suppliers/subcontractors for pricing; monitor budgets and margins; support contract reviews.
• Technical Support: provide technical advice and product recommendations; work with engineering/operations/project teams; address technical queries; assist with project handover after order confirmation.
• Project Coordination: coordinate with internal departments for quotations; monitor progress and customer satisfaction; resolve commercial/technical issues; support collections and account management.
• KPIs: sales revenue, gross margin, new accounts, tender conversion, quotation-to-order, customer satisfaction, accuracy of cost estimates.
