Job summary

NexusHire Solutions in Singapore is seeking a Head of Leasing to shape a distinctive retail offering by bringing in brands, developing retailer concepts and building partnerships that strengthen customer appeal and footfall.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, negotiate leasing deals and align tenant-mix strategy with brand acquisitions, ensuring delivery from concept to occupancy. This role requires strong commercial acumen, leadership, and a proven track record in retail leasing.

Qualifications

• Retail leasing experience with a property owner, developer or retail REIT.
• Proven track record of originating, negotiating and closing leasing deals.
• Strong retailer relationships and the credibility to engage both luxury and mass-market brands on their commercial needs.
• Experience making tenant-mix decisions and developing retailer concepts or partnerships.
• Sound commercial judgement and the ability to explain why a brand or deal fits the wider retail offering.
• Proven leadership of teams and cross-functional delivery.

Responsibilities

• Develop the retail leasing strategy and set brand-acquisition priorities to support customer appeal, footfall and performance.
• Evaluate tenants and concepts against the overall retail mix and identify complementary brands.
• Proactively identify and approach brands to strengthen the retail offering, including luxury and mass-market.
• Build relationships with retailer decision-makers and progress initial contact into leasing discussions.
• Lead leasing negotiations and progress opportunities through to deal closure.
• Analyse proposed terms balancing retailer requirements with the leasing objectives and retail mix.
• Set team priorities and guide progress on new-brand acquisition and active leasing opportunities.
• Develop the team’s engagement, assessment and negotiation skills across departments.
• Coordinate with marketing, fit-out and commercial analysis colleagues to deliver concepts into execution.
• Align teams on retailer requirements and next steps to drive delivery.
