Job summary

57 EMPLOYMENT AGENCY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to oversee the full QS scope on site projects in Singapore. You will manage procurement, budgeting, cost estimation, and contract administration, ensuring accurate quantity measurements.

The role requires evaluating variation orders, sourcing new subcontractors, issuing RFQs, and coordinating with site teams to support interim payments and final accounts. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Relevant working experience in quantity surveying; site-based experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with understanding of construction processes and contract law.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.
• Proactive and able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage QS duties: procurement, budgeting, cost estimation, contract administration, and quantity measurement.
• Evaluate and process variation orders and support cost control throughout project life cycles.
• Source and assess new subcontractors and suppliers for competitive pricing and quality.
• Prepare and issue RFQ and tender documents with relevant departments.
• Review and compare subcontractor/supplier quotations, conduct evaluations, and provide recommendations.
• Participate in procurement meetings and support price data and procurement reports.
• Provide tendering support, especially in pricing exercises and VECD proposals.
• Collaborate with site teams to support contract administration: main contracts, subcontract management, interim payments, final accounts.
• Assist the QS Manager in managing all contractual and financial aspects to ensure compliance and profitability.
