Job summary

MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions in Singapore seeks a procurement specialist to support the Purchasing Manager in daily sourcing, supplier negotiations and cross-functional collaboration to meet the plant’s production needs. You will manage purchasing plans, import documentation, supplier audits, risk management and cost optimization while maintaining compliance with the procurement code of conduct.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in supply chain management, business management or chemical engineering is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain management or procurement.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin to communicate with mainland China suppliers.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review materials requirements for production and generate Purchase Orders, schedule and reschedule material per MRP.
• Coordinate with operations on material purchasing plan to support production and ensure supply.
• Manage import operations and required documents with suppliers, forwarders and operations teams.
• Coordinate with suppliers to resolve shipment delays and document status.
• Maintain raw material inventory levels to optimize stock turnover.
• Identify, evaluate and select reliable suppliers; build long-term relationships.
• Conduct supplier audits and monitor corrective actions.
• Negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost competitiveness and manage supplier risks.
• Support cross-functional teams to meet production timelines, cost targets and product specs.
