Job summary

Sys-Mac Automation Engineering Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a diligent Purchasing/Procurement professional to source materials, place POs per MRP, and negotiate commercial terms to ensure continuity of supply.

The role requires at least 2 years in equipment manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and exposure to ERP platforms; you will manage supplier qualification, cost control, and ongoing PO activities across projects.

Qualifications

• Degree/ Diploma/ ITE in Mechanical Engineering/ Purchasing/ Supply Chain.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in equipment manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge in MS Office (advanced level in Excel) is preferred; any ERP platform experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Place PO as per MRP/MSL.
• New BP creation and maintainence & negotiation on commercial terms.
• Generate weekly PO status report to Project Teams.
• Source and participate in supplier qualifications.
• Execute order management: PO issuance, delivery commitment monitoring; support material & project planner on PO pull-in/push-put/cancellation.
• Ensure right price/quantity/quality on purchases.
• Escalate to commodity management if supplier issues arise.
• Escalate to Project Engineer on EOL or replacement to support continuity of supply.
• Advise and provide solutions in process, technology & material areas.
• Request for quotes and conduct benchmark; provide cost estimates and quotes during RFQ.
• Control project purchased costing and schedule against budget and timeline.
• Perform post mortem on cost performance of actual vs quoted.
• Control for premium or excess purchases beyond project budget.
• Drive FAI qualification; ensure all necessary documents are in place.
• Coordinate with Machine Centre and SCM and Quality to qualify one-time new source; ensure proper FAI or control run as required.
• Support NCR process led by Quality; ensure return-to-vendor parts repaired or exchanged timely.
• Maintain KPIs and present to management.
• Perform tasks as and when assigned.
