Job summary

RECRUIT EXPRESS PTE LTD is seeking a Procurement Specialist to oversee purchasing, logistics and planning to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery. You will drive cost savings by negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and evaluating supplier performance.

The role requires a solid data-driven approach to optimize inventory and processes. Responsibilities include market research, EC support, and regular reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–5 years purchasing experience in contract manufacturing industry, with emphasis on cables, harnesses, and/or electromechanical assemblies.
• Proficient in MS Office with strong Excel skills.
• Strong negotiating contracts and pricing with suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee procurement, logistics, and production planning to ensure smooth operational flow.
• Drive cost savings by negotiating pricing, terms, and lead times with suppliers.
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers locally and overseas.
• Assess supplier capabilities and reliability to ensure quality and delivery standards.
• Support EC processes by ensuring data accuracy and collaborating with suppliers to implement changes.
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands.
• Communicate proactively with cross-departmental stakeholders to align procurement activities.
• Analyze data and assess variation factors to resolve procurement issues.
• Select and apply methods to optimize procurement outcomes.
• Take ownership of tasks and provide regular data analysis and progress updates to the Purchasing Manager.
• Prepare weekly purchasing reports to improve efficiency and support KPIs.
• Provide management with reviews and recommendations to enhance purchasing processes.
• Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Purchasing Manager
